Registration forms are available at any FCPS public school and should be returned to MVMS. If the number of registrations exceed the number of openings in any grade (after preference has been given to the children of founders and the siblings of children already in the school), a lottery will be held to select students and establish the order of the waiting list.
For the academic year 2008-9, the enrollment period is January 1 - February 28, 2008. The lottery will be held on March 10, 2008. All enrollment forms received after 4:00pm on February 28, 2008 will be placed at the end of the current wait list on a first come basis. Download enrollment form. When Enrolling please indicate the grade the student will be entering for the 2008-9 school year.
Parents of children not currently enrolled in FCPS will have to also complete an immunization form and a record of physical examination, provide proof of residency (i.e. current utility bill), and proof of birth for each child.
Primary Program (Pre-K through Kindergarten):
MVMPCS offers a no-fee Primary Program for 3 and 4 year olds as well as a full day Kindergarten. Your child must be three by September 1st to enter the 3-year Program, four by September 1st to enter the 4-year Program, and 5 by September 1st to enter Kindergarten. The 3 and 4 program hours are 9:00am to 11:30am, Monday through Friday. Kindergarten hours are 9:00am to 3:45pm, Monday through Thursday and 9:00am to 2:45pm on Friday. Follow the same instructions above to enroll your child in the primary program.
Returning Students:
As we begin the process of planning the enrollment for the 2008-09 academic year, we must verify the intent of each and every student to continue to attend MVMPCS. As a chartered school, we cannot assume the reenrollment of each student and require that a separate letter of intent be completed for each student who will be returning for the upcoming academic year.
