Primary Supply List for Mrs. Sherwood’s Class

• Backpack (large enough to hold the Thursday Folder and the Daily Reader Folder) for daily use labeled with child’s name on the inside
• Change of clothes, including shirt, pants, socks, and underwear in a plastic bag labeled with child’s name
• Box of tissues
• Roll of paper towels
• Squirt bottle OR refill bottle of waterless antibacterial hand sanitizer
• Refill pack of baby wipes for use by students (We have a variety of boxes.)
• Supply Box [cigar box size (6”x8 ½ “x2 ½”) or smaller] labeled with child’s name in permanent marker (Last year’s supply box is preferable.)
• 1 pair of Fiskars scissors labeled with child’s name in permanent marker (Last year’s scissors are preferable. Please place labeled scissors inside labeled supply box. Crayons and pencils have been ordered through FCPS.)
• 1 8-oz. bottle of glue
• 2 vinyl pocket folders (no prongs) labeled with child’s name in permanent marker (One will be your child’s Thursday Folder, and the other will be your child’s Daily Reader Folder. Note: For returning students, folders from last year are preferable; if you returned them before the end of the previous school year, then I will have them ready to go.)

Optional

• 1 Disposable Camera with 25 Pictures labeled with child’s name on top (Should you send a camera to school, we will take pictures of your child throughout the school year and return the camera to you when all the pictures are taken. These pictures will provide documentation for some of the wonderful Montessori activities that your child will do.)
• Container of disinfecting wipes for use by adults
• Refill bottle of hand soap
• Box of zipper-seal baggies (snack, quart, or gallon size)
• Pack of 9”x12” construction paper
• Skein of medium-weight, any solid or multi-colored yarn: rolled into balls that will fit into 3 ½”-tall x 10”-around frosting containers and balls placed in a plastic bag

“Additional Optional”

I will post a sign-up sheet for any parents who would be willing to make a batch of fresh, homemade playdoh for a week. I have several recipes from which to choose.
